Spirulina is a bluish green alga that grows in salt water lakes. It contains 60% protein and l8 amino acids including all the
essential eight amino acids. Thus considered as a complete form of protein. In contrast to animal protein, spirulina does
not contain any unhealthy fats. It is an alkaline food which is rich in vitamins, chlorophyll, phycocyanin, carotinoids,
superoxide dismutase, RNA,beta carotene and sulfolipids.
